Editorial Review for Baker Street Pub – by Karen Hudes
In Short
An energetic gathering place for the Upper East Side's after-work crowd, this refined, mahogany-bar and pub serves 18 bottled beers and 12 on tap, as well as dishes including fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and your standard wings and nachos. In addition to the daily happy hour from 11am to 7pm, and the weekend brunch with two complimentary cocktails, fans also come for satellite broadcasts of overseas rugby and soccer games.

This is the place if you want to meet some meat and I'm not talking about the food. This place one guy mentioned is spot on with service if it is very slow but when busy the waitresses get harassed nonstop which means no beer for you. There are many less busy places in the area that allow you to drink your pain away oh single ones.
Cons: Limeys

Baker St. is a mixed bag. They do pour a proper pint of Guinness and when business is slow, service is prompt. When it's packed however, the bar seems understaffed and movement through the main room, due to the obstruction of the dividing dry bar is almost non-existent. The food is above par pub food but the waitstaff are often overworked thus lending to slow table service. The biggest pet peeve though, as a trivia connousieur stems from the hosting style of the Weds. trivia night. The host's Irish accent is charming but his annunciation, propensity to tell jokes in lieu of authentic questions (which are frequently mistaken FOR questions) and seemingly random rhythm leave much to be desired. I've tried to give it another shot a couple times, but always leave frustrated with the inelegant and patternless style of the host. If you're into trivia that actually tests knowledge and not puns and 80s music, I'd go elsewhere.
Pros: Good Pints of Guinness, Better than Average Pub Food
Cons: Slow service when busy, really frustrating trivia host
