Where do I begin....well I avoid going to most places in the meatpacking area cause it's cheesy and so passe...but had been prompted to go unfortunately for a friend's friend's bday. Unfortunately I could not do that at all as this bouncer Aalex through a hissy fit and wouldn't let anyone in. Friends of ours were already inside and said that there were barely any people in there, and it was already 1 am. I must say, if I may set the scene, it was a very random mix of people that kept going in and coming out of this place....all white people of course, but mainly 18 year old short blond girls with no b**bs who have never taken a blowdryer to their head....55 year old new jersey guys with really poor taste wagging their tails to get f****ed and relive "the good 'ol days"....oh and let's not forget the 20 finance guys outside begging Aalex to let them in if only they pay for 2 bottles. I thought this place was "supposed" to be all fashionable, b/c you know meatpacking is so "fashionable", but it wasn't at all....I work as a designer in the fashion industry for a high profile company and am around high profile models, stylists, artists, editors, investors constantly....so you can imagine that I look good, dress better than most people and have a very cultured palette. Aalex's outfit looked like it came straight out of an abercrombie & fitch reject pile...aren't bouncer's supposed to look better than that? If it wasn't for this friend I would have never tried to get in, but after 20 mins. of nonsense and this Aalex guy throwing his cell phone at one of these poor suckers trying to get into the place, I decided to take my ysl heels somewhere else much more fun and on the lower east side. Note to Aalex, you should be careful of the people you "feel" like turning down, as I'm quite confident you made a very very wrong mistake with excruciatingly scary consequences.

Went to 10june last night after a 3 month hiatus. I have no axe to grind but I saw how some of the people were turnded down by Aalex and thats just not cool. All you have to say is not tonight without the shade and demeaning attitude. Aalex should remember that he too could be on the other side of the ropes (London and St. Tropez doormen have much more savvvy) or better yet could be interviewing for another job and would like to be shown courtesy while being rejected!. I read interview about Aalex who stated" I may not know who you are, but definately know who you're not!) I find this troubling but i guess in the world of doormen and tenjune aalex is a player, but in the real world of power/celebrity and success, I don't think Aalex gets past the mailroom and I run a billion dollar company and have more respect for people than this schmuck! Get a life Aalex!!

Never been there but by reading the reviews looks like that guy is an actual problem.....club owners forget that in NYC word of mouth is everything and a place that is the "IT" place today might stop been the "it" place in a blink of an eye...there are so many places to go...why should people put up with the attitude....

Used to like going to Tenjune...but recently Alex's attitude has become more than a royal pain. Is he xenophobic? (the r word was not permitted in this site). I'm not trying to make any false accusations but he does seem to be. It's a pity, Tenjune's such a great club...IF ONLY, Alex could be excluded from it.it.

i know, i know aalex is a piece of work indeed but the club is nice as is the atmosphere. we must not get bent out of shape over alex just put it context. he's a doorman, he's 33 and he doesn't own the place. basically he works to ensure the crowd is tight, which he does. doesn't give him the right to humiliate anyone but i'm sure he's humble as pie when he interviews for his next position!!! what goes around comes around my friend.

This is my first review just because I need to agree with all of the people who have been talking about Alex. I have been going to clubs in NYC for awhile now and I know that bouncers/doormen can be obnoxious and rude (they think that just because they can let who they want into a club that they work hourly at is an excuse to be rude to the people who make a s**t load more money than they do) but my crowd is never pushy - we get a couple of bottles often and give them good money and service - but Alex needs to be fired immediatley or this club is going to go down as soon as it got up - he is making the club loose out on money and potential/loyal customers. I have never met an attitude like this guys - and I know I know..you feel better about youself when you turn away a girl who isnt 105lbs/blond and has the IQ of 50 - but you def. need to find a job that involves you sitting alone by youself without interacting w/ people - you are going to end up a lonely lonely person. Note to TENJUNE - your club would be a lot hotter if you just got rid of your nasty bouncer and maybe spiced up your music. Until that happens - I will be taking my business to Kiss and Fly and Pink. Thanks!

Pros: Well, if you ever get in the place - the ambience is nice.

Cons: Alex. Horrible service. Don't waste your money here.

Saturday night is my fave night to party because there are tons of hot girls! Me and my guys heard that Tenjune was hot so we decided to go buy some bottles and pick up some chicks! There were these 4 really REALLY hot girls that we saw before we got to the place and we invited them to come party. Get this, ONE WAS EVEN A MODEL! So we get to the door and tell Alex that we are buying bottles and he tells us come inside but leave the girls at the rope. Turns out he refused entry to the hot girls…EVEN THE MODEL! That didn’t start the night off too well. Thank goodness the music and crowd were decent or else Alex would have ruined my whole night!

Pros: decent music and crowd, but i've seen better

Cons: Alex the doorman...how do you refuse entry to hot girls and let 5 guys in??

Saturday evening a group of friends and I came to Tenjune. One of the ladies that we were with was a little heavy and when the door guy Alex came over he refused us entry without an explanation. The nice bouncer stated it was because of the big girl. Her and her friends left and it was just me and my friend visiting from Cali. When Alex came back over he said no again. When asked why he responded “I don’t have to tell you S**T”! Needless to say the attitude was uncalled for because we just wanted a reason as to why 2 pretty girls couldn’t get in. I left and needless to say my girls and I will never come back again. I know door guys are mean, I used to be a guest list girl at a hot club, but he just took it to another level.

Very small and crowded! Terrible service from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. Ironically the nicest people in the entire venue are the bouncers!

The service is horrible! Citycearch will not allow me to use the word that best describes the doorman, so let’s just say he “REALLY DILIKES PEOPLE OF COLOR”! This is not an assumption, it is a fact. One of the bouncers even told me that although I was one of the prettiest girls that he had seen all evening he knew the reason Alex wouldn’t let me in was because I was black! After Alex told me no entry he proceeded to let in 2 chubby white girls who were barely decent looking. Needless to say we left even after the bouncer was able to get us in we refused. I don’t spend my money in establishments like this!! We went to KISS AND FLY and had a GREAT TIME!
